The sounds in this torrent all come from 'BBC Sound Effect Library' torrent.

I have selected those sounds I know works on my own 'fruit of my loins' as well as those sounds that MAY work on other candidates for pillow-smothering. My kid is quite fond of the 'Ship Engine Room' and 'Vacuum Cleaner'.

Some sounds work for some kids, and not all of the time - experiment, it's not as if it can get any worse!
Combine the sounds with a rocking chair, and you should hit a home run.

The key element is that the sound/noise is consistent, monotonous and at roughly the same volume thoughout the playback. This is NOT the case for many of the sound-bits and some are therefore more useful if altered/looped endlessly in e.g. Audacity (a sound editing program). I have not altered any of the files or their names, for that matter.
 
Other soundbits start out/end in a low volume which can be alleviated by using 'cross-fade' in e.g. WinAmp (You can find the option under the 'equalizer' tab - setting a higher second-count may help).

Infants like it loud, and with ample bass - we are trying to remind them of the womb, and the inner workings of a body are quite loud when your head is submerged in amniotic fluid. You can always ease the volume down as your offspring settles down.

I hope this helps you avoid doing a 'Moses' on your infant (do not pollute our lentic waters!)
